Jewellery of sentimental value stolen from house in Gilford

A Gilford resident has lost a quantity of jewellery which was of sentimental value, during a burglary at the house last week.

Police in Banbridge are appealing for information following the incident in the Hillcrest Villas area of Gilford.

Some time between 4.45pm and 5.45pm on Monday, May 5, the house was broken into and ransacked. A quantity of jewellery was taken.

The jewellery is of great sentimental value to its owner and included the wedding ring of the resident’s mother and other gold rings and chains.

Police are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to this burglary or the whereabouts of the jewellery to contact them on the 101 non-emergency number, quoting ref: 758050514.
