Jimmy suffered a heart attack on Christmas Day in 2001 and since 2009, Jimmy has tirelessly worked to raise funds for BHF Northern Ireland by securing new events, supporters and opportunities for the heart charity.

Jimmy formed the Coleraine Fundraising Group in 2013, which has already raised over £3,000. He has also organised The North Coast Ford Car Fair for the past five years which has been a huge success and raised over £5,000.

Jimmy says: “BHF are a great charity to volunteer with and I look forward to the fundraising we will do in future. I’d like to thank all involved in getting me here. I was nominated for the work I’ve done but my wife Helen and other branch members have also contributed a great deal as well.”
