Jim's quarter century of service recognised

JIM Perry was commissioned as a Diocesan Lay Reader in 1985. During the past 25 years he reckons he has participated in over 1000 services and preached in the region of 600 sermons.

A diocesan lay reader is an invaluable part of the ministry team, for when clergy are ill or on holiday the lay reader is called in to take the services.

To mark his 25 years faithful service to the church Chancellor Stuart Lloyd presented him with a gift from the parish.

Jim is pictured receiving the gift from Chancellor Lloyd at September’s Living Faith service after preaching yet another sermon.
