JLOL 109 is best turned out at Jubilee parade

ON Saturday June 2, Banbridge Rising Sons JLOL 109 set off from Banbridge Orange Hall accompanied by Downshire Guiding Star Flute Band to meet up with other Junior Lodges from all over Ulster for a Parade in Antrim.

The parade was to mark the Diamond Jubilee of the Queen and was organised by the Junior Grand Lodge of Ireland.

The day turned out to be a day to remember for all 30 of the boys that where on parade from JLOL 109. Before they left Banbridge each boy was presented with a limited edition Jewel to mark the occasion.

During the Parade in Antrim the boys where greeted with huge crowds of people who lined the route to the field. At the field there was plenty for the boys to eat and drink with a carnival type atmosphere.

Before the journey home JLOL 109 where presented with a shield for the best turned out lodge from Co Down by the County Master Bro Joe Magill. A keen sister of one of the boys proudly displayed this on the parade on the way home. Well-done JLOL 109.

A big thank-you must go out to all the boys for turning out and behaving so well on the day. Also for the support from the Parents and other friends of JLOL 109.
