Joanne’s hair salon defies downturn

A relocation and significant extension and refurbishment, just completed and supported by Ulster Bank, for Joanne McKelvey Hair Design will see staff numbers at the salon increase from 11 to 13 in the months ahead. The business is now located on Linenhall Street in the town.

Speaking about the new premises, owner Joanne McKelvey said: “Deciding to make such a substantial investment in the business at a time when consumer confidence appears to be low was a major decision for me, and it was reassuring to know I had a local relationship manager who I could talk to at each stage of the finance process.
