Jobs at cleaners saved

SOME Lurgan workers have been given an early Christmas present, just weeks after hearing devastating news.

Last month staff at Wray Cleaners found out that they would lose their jobs after it was revealed the business was to close

However, the company, which has a branch in Union Street, has found a new owner and all 13 workers have been rehired.

Robert McArdle, the company’s new owner, said the staff members were delighted.

“It was certainly a great Christmas present,” he said.

“The staff were all on a high.

“I have a good team behind me and we are turning the business around. Things are going great at the moment.”

Mr McArdle is confident that the company’s fortunes are positive.
