Building work is already under way at the Cloyfin Road site, and the developers are working towards a May 2011 completion date.

Around 60 jobs are to be created, as part of the company's 50 million investment in Northern Ireland.

In June this year the Group revealed that it was planning to build 17 homes by the end of next year in areas including Belfast, North Down, Ards, Craigavon, Ballymena and Coleraine.

The care homes will reflect the very latest research in dementia care providing care for both elderly and people suffering from dementia.

The Group says it will be 'building on our already strong and established areas of expertise' to offer a more comprehensive range of facilities for service users".
