Jobs boost at Mallusk firm

Mallusk company Grants Electrical Services NI Ltd (GES Group), which also has operations in Ballymena, is taking on ten new staff as it invests over £300,000 in growth.

The new staff include five trainee apprentices. The investment in marketing and job creation is being supported by Invest Northern Ireland, which has offered £47,800.

Grants Electrical provides power and energy solutions for small businesses and large multi-nationals across industries including tyre manufacturers, wind farms, food and drink manufacturers, engineering specialists, and ship and aerospace manufacturing.

The company currently employs 80 people, and as well as taking on staff it is investing over £44,000 in marketing activity to develop new markets and customers.

Commenting on the expansion, Invest NI’s Director of Life Sciences, Electronics and Consumer Products Grainne McVeigh said: “Grants Electrical is an excellent example of a local company that is continuously pursuing new opportunities and evolving to meet changing customer demands.”
