Jobs under threat at Portadown plant

Meetings are to be held with management to discuss the proposed job losses.

It is not known at this stage how many jobs are at risk at the Gilford Road plant.

Unite regional officer Joanne McWilliams said, “Unite is aware of the threat of job losses at Kingspan. As yet, we are unaware of the numbers involved or the positions involved.

“We will be meeting with management to clarify their proposals and to seek to minimise the impact on our membership.”
