Join the coastal walk at Glenarm

WALK leaders and Glenarm Village Committee are inviting walkers to get going in 2010 with a gentle coastal walk.

The assembly point is the village Tourist Office at 2.30pm this Sunday, January 17, for a leisurely ramble along the coast to the Batchelors’ Path and from there to the Straidkelly Nature Reserve, which has a colony of red squirrels fed by volunteer members of the local Wildlife Group.

While most of the route will be firm paths, sturdy footwear should be worn given the wet conditions and walking sticks or poles are advisable.

Cost is just 2 per person and refreshments will be served afterwards.

Children are welcome but must be accompanied by parents.
