Joseph's Dreamcoat will be a perfect fit

For at least 100 years, Ballycarry Presbyterian Church has shownthat it enjoys the gift of making music and sharing itwith others.

Back in the late 19th centur,y Rev John McAlery traineda choir that sang, and won, at festivals in the surrounding area.

The joy in making music continued right through the last century flowing into the 21 st with a choir from the Church winning a class at the Carrickfergus Festival under the direction of Mrs Audrey Stewart.

They are now venturing into performing a musical – ‘Joseph and His Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat’.

This time, an all-age cast hascome together to enjoy bringing to life, using music, this timelessstory.

The performances will be on Friday, March 18 at 7.30pm and on Sunday 20th at 4.30 pm in Ballycarry Presbyterian Church.

The guest artist performing Joseph is a young talented singer, Daniel Kerr,who in the last few years has had much success on the festival circuit.

Daniel is currently in Lower Sixth form at Ballyclare Secondary and due to sing solo with the Belfast Operatic’s forthcoming concert on the April 16.

All are welcome to attend the concerts.

Donations will accepted on behalf of ‘CRY’ (Cardiac Risk in the Young).

The concerts are sponsored by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.

Tuesday, March 15 – The next meeting of Larne Tuesday Group. The meeting will be held in Larne Market Yard and will commence with refreshments at 10.30am.

The speaker will be Rev Jack Moore, Lead Chaplain at Antrim Area Hospital, who will speak on the theme “Journeying with the Healer.”
