Josh and Mark to appear on C5 live show

TWO local singers are telling themselves - Don't Stop Believing!

For Mark Adamson from Portstewart and Josh Cameron from Coleraine, along with their colleagues from show choir MT4Uth, have been voted through to the next round of Channel Five's Don't Stop Believing - the all-singing, all-dancing new series showcasing choirs, musical performance groups and singing extravaganzas, hosted by Emma Bunton.

Josh, Mark and the group performed live on Sunday's show, singing the Nina Simone classic "New World" - but with a very different twist.

Decked out in a straight jacket, heavy kohl eye make-up and singing through a megaphone, Mark gave a chilling, edgy performance which wowed the judges.

Josh was also a hit with the judging panel which includes former Eastender Tamzin Outhwaite and Duncan James in Blue.

However, they were not outright winners with the viewers and were forced into an agonising tie-break with fellow Northern Ireland performers Fusion Theatre.

After both groups performed again, the judges voted to put MT4Uth into this Sunday's live show where they must compete against the other "wild card" teams for a place in the final.

Mark said: "Thanks to everyone who voted for MT4Uth on Sunday night.

"What an amazing experience. And we have it all to do again next week.

"It was an awful position to be put in against Fusion who were amazing and such an amazing bunch of people."

So tune into Channel 5 this Sunday evening to see how Mark and Josh and the rest of MT4Uth get on...
