Joy as Poole’s
SuperValu wins national award

Poole’s SuperValu in
Moira has been named Best Supermarket for Hygiene and Food Safety in Northern Ireland for 2013 at The National Q Mark Awards.

The awards are
widely referred to throughout the country as being
the ‘Oscars’ of business
excellence and each year thousands of companies apply to be considered,
but only the best of the
best are short-listed to compete.

To be announced as
National winner on the
night is considered to be
one of the greatest accolades that any company or team can receive.

The award is known
to be one of the most
difficult categories to win at the annual awards
ceremony, as all nominees must prove that they
review 100% of their processes and procedures 100% of the time, thereby guaranteeing the highest standards of quality and excellence available in Ireland today.

As she announced Poole’s SuperValu as the winner, the Managing Director of
The National Q Mark, Irene Collins said: “High operational standards and
customer satisfaction
are the top priorities for
Eddie’s team.

“Winning the
Q Mark award recognises that they are operating ‘Best in Class’ standards.

“Well done to them
all.”

Poole’s SuperValu,
which is a community based supermarket, is the
largest employer in Moira and provides locals, and
visitors alike, with a
one-stop-shop for all of
their needs, seven days a week.
