JP Corry goes green in support of Barnardo’s NI

JP Corry has announced the launch of its new two-year ‘together’ charity partnership with Barnardo’s Northern Ireland, the charity which supports thousands of local children, young people and their families every year.

The renowned supplier of timber and building materials has two branches in the Ballymena area, at Pennybridge and Crankill Road.

The new partnership was celebrated with a ‘Go Green’ week of fundraising activities which took place across the network of 18 JP Corry branches.

The ‘Go Green Week’ raised £1,500 by holding green-iced bake sales, green-only fancy dress days, office bingo, prize draws and running events.

Paul Irwin, Sales Director at JP Corry, explained: “As part of our commitment to the community JP Corry has a long and well established tradition of supporting many local projects and charities. Our staff are incredibly enthusiastic about our new partnership with Barnardo’s and have already started planning and getting involved in some truly inspiring fundraising events and activities with our customers and suppliers.”

Leona McEvoy from Barnardo’s said, “We are delighted that JP Corry has chosen Barnardo’s as its charity of choice. Barnardo’s like JP Corry has centres across Northern Ireland and is at the heart of local communities. We look forward to working with JP Corry staff over the next two years to help make a real difference to children’s lives.”
