June always had a smile and a word for everyone

Mrs June Gault passed away at her home, Edenderry Gardens, Banbridge, on Sunday September 14.

She was the dearly loved wife of Robert James better known as Bobbie.

Daughter of the late William and Annie Clydesdale from Katesbridge, June was the devoted mother of Robert, Bill and Terry and the loving mother-in-law of Elizabeth, Linda and the late Hazel.

Being brought up in Katesbridge she was a member of Katesbridge Presbyterian Church.

When visiting Bobbie’s aunt she met Bobbie and they were married one year later. June was delighted to receive a card from HM the Queen on her 60th wedding anniversary.

June lived most of her time at Huntly in Banbridge. She worked in Brookfield Factory, The Optical Factory, Lurgan and North West Securities where she retired.

A member of St Johns Ambulance Brigade she was promoted to Superintendant of the Badgers.

June, who always had a smile and a chat for everyone she met, was a member of the Victoria Club and went to the Village Hall in Seapatrick for social evenings.

She loved going to Newcastle and she enjoyed going to Spain, Portugal and Tunisia. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish Church.

She is survived by her husband Bobbie, her three sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren Lindsay, Rob, Mandy, Christopher, Zoe, Clare, great grandchildren Poppy, Tori, Lauren, sister Doreen, brothers Victor, Ronnie, Stevy and Geoffrey.

To these and all other relatives sincere sympathy has been
extended.

The funeral took place from her home on Tuesday when a large congregation filled Holy Trinity Parish Church to its capacity. The Ven Archdeacon Roderic West conducted the funeral services and readings were by Mandy, Zoe and Clare.

The hymns ‘Amazing Grace’ and ‘What a friend we have in Jesus’ were sung and Mr Roly Anketel presided at the organ.

The interment took place in the New Cemetery where a floral tribute of yellow roses was placed on the grave. Donations in lieu are being sent to William Bell and Co Funeral Directors, 23 Kenlis Street, Banbridge, BT32 3LR for Macmillan Nurses.

William Bell and Co had charge of the funeral arrangements.
