Just days to go to Midnight Walk for Hospice

WITH only days to go Northern Ireland Hospice is urging everyone to show their support and sign up to take part in the first Coleraine Midnight Walk for Hospice.

This Friday evening will see supporters gather, dressed in purple as the event kicks off with an hour of music and entertainment from 10pm with Fitness First of Coleraine and DJ Make You Move.

Fundraising Administrator Laura Gray is ensuring everyone has their fundraising packs in time for the event.

“This event is open to everyone who registers with us in advance. It is an exciting event to be part of and an unforgettable night of fun and laughter. There is still time to register, so don’t delay in calling. Registration is just £10 per person and includes a goodie bag on the evening.”

Whether you decide to walk in memory of a loved one or simply to have a fun night out with family and friends, the Midnight Walk for Hospice is open to everyone says Events fundraiser Lynn Boyce.

“Our Midnight Walk in Coleraine is open to men and women over the age of 16. We encourage everybody in the local area to take part, provided they register with us in advance, so that we can provide adequate refreshments on the evening. Even if you have no connection to Hospice you can still take part, simply register and we will send you a fundraising pack.”

The target for the 2011 Midnight Walk is £20,000 and if met will help fund local hospice services in the Causeway and North Coast area, ensuring that patients and their families living with a terminal illness can receive the Hospice care they need.

Lynn continues: ‘’We understand that it is not always possible to raise the suggested sponsorship of £80, however we ask that participants endeavour to raise as much as they can to ensure continued Hospice care in the North Coast area.’’
