Police say Robert Hanna’s family identified the craft discovered on a beach at Campbeltown two weeks ago, but have only now released the information.

Mr Hanna, a 47-year-old father-of-three, was reported missing by his family when he did not return from kayaking off Port Muck on September 28. An air-sea search was condicted and police subsequently launched a missing person investigation.

“It’s been so long now, we definitely don’t think he will be found alive,” his partner, Donna Hanna, said.

“We would just like him to be found so we can get some closure, especially for the kids. It is unbelievable. It’s like a bad dream that is never ending.”
