'Keeps clubs up to date'

DIARMAID Marsden was a key member of the Armagh team who won their first All-Ireland title in 2002 and he also won Senior Championship titles with Clan na Gael in 1993 and 1994.

He says: "The Lurgan Mail over the years has provided the Gaels of Lurgan and the surrounding area with up to date reports and previews of GAA activity at a club, school and county level.

“If it’s an important underage club game, a vital schools’ match, a senior club championship game or a feature on the progress of County Armagh, then one can usually be brought up to speed through the Gaelic Pages in the 'MAIL'.

“Whether we agree with the reporter’s assessment of a particular game or not, invariably everyone from a GAA background turns to the Gaelic pages first when they buy the paper.

“Whether it is Gaelic football, hurling, ladies Gaelic or Camogie the Lurgan Mail is the main media outlet for promoting and reporting at all levels, so all our clubs should avail of this service and use it to their advantage."
