Kelly welcomes new housing plan

Antrim Councillor Neil Kelly has welcomed news of a new general housing scheme on the outskirts of the town.

Cllr. Kelly said the new development at Chaine Court, will provide much-needed social housing.

He added that the new housing would help to go towards addressing waiting lists for housing.

“Located on a bus route, this new social housing scheme will meet the need of local people who have spent long periods of time on waiting lists, giving them easy access to the town,” Cllr. Kelly said.

He added: “In previous meetings with the Housing Executive Alliance representatives have discussed housing needs in the Antrim area and it is welcome that our concerns have been listened to.

“Alliance will continue to push for greater housing provision across South Antrim, catering for all needs.”
