‘Kerbsort’ - new recycling vehicle in Ballymena

BALLYMENA Borough Council has announced this week that residents are to benefit from having an innovative new recycling vehicle launched by Bryson Recycling - the Kerb-Sort.

The Kerb-Sort, was developed by vehicle specialist Romaquip, based on a design partnership with Bryson, who deliver household recycling services in Northern Ireland and will deliver the local kerbside box service from next year onwards.

Commenting on the new vehicle, Eric Randall of Bryson Recycling, said: “We have been delivering our kerbside box collection service for over 10 years and during that time built up a lot of experience. We recognised a need to improve the vehicle design used for our recycling services, and were unable to find a suitable vehicle in the marketplace, so we decided to design our own”.

“The Kerb-Sort is designed to be the most efficient and intelligent kerbside collection vehicle on the market and is able to collect an unparalleled range of materials.

Speaking about the new vehicle, Ballymena Mayor Cllr. Hubert Nicholl added: ‘“t is a very impressive vehicle, especially designed for our recycling needs, it compliments the existing recycling services provided by the council in order to give our residents an absolutely first class service”.
