Kerry Group announces charity partnership

THE Coleraine branch of the Kerry Group, which is a world leader in food ingredients and flavours serving the food and beverage industry, held a summer family fun day in aid of local charity, Action Cancer.

The event was staged at Coleraine Football Club on July 28 for the staff and families of the Coleraine Branch.

Included was a football competition which was established as an annual event by a group of employees following the death of Lucinda Tosh Devenney, a Kerry Foods employee who passed away from cancer.

The winning team were awarded the Lucinda Tosh Devenney Memorial Cup by members of her family.

Brooke Cameron with the Kerry Group, said, “So many people are affected by cancer every year and we are delighted to support a local cancer charity in their on-going endeavour to make a real difference.

Action Cancer is tirelessly offering help and support to entire families touched by cancer, and we are so pleased to make a contribution by holding this event”.

Action Cancer provides a range of life saving prevention, detection and support services including breast screening for women aged 40-49 and 70+, MOT health checks, counselling and complementary therapies and a mobile unit, the Big Bus.
