Kieran Corr from St Anthony's Centre, who is helping to run the event, explained: "When Pat first approached me with regards to helping out I was only too glad to help. It's a great idea to run an event like this in a World Cup year and for Alzheimer's.

"Each team in this event once they have entered will be put into a draw and their team will be given the name of a country participating in this year's world cup in South Africa. The deadline to enter a team is Sunday, May 30. It should be a good day of fun and we hope to raise a lot of money for Alzheimer's.

"There will be a golden boot award and also prizes for the winning team and runners up. This is an open invitation and anyone interested in entering a team can also contact Pat on 07515 713 495 or myself on 0775 446 1257."

As well as the indoor tournament there is also a Cabaret and Dance that will take place on Friday, June 4 at St Anthony's Centre, featuring Comedian Big O, Breakaway and lots of local talent performing. All proceeds from this event is also in aid of Alzheimer's.
