Kids ‘decide outcome’

SCHOOLKIDS had the ‘casting vote’ when it came to a new play area in Dunseverick.

Moyle Council has agreed to go ahead with the Gunagh Play Area at Dunseverick which will cost almost £50,000 plus VAT.

But because of funding packages Moyle Council will only pay 25 per cent.

Sinn Fein councillor Oliver McMullan praised the leverage of funding for the project.

According to Moyle Council minutes pupils at the local school will be some of the main users of the play area and pupils were asked which playground they would like after two bidders for the project scored identical top points on a quality/price matrix.
