Kids Enjoy Biodiversity Summer School
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Thomas Hogg, went along to the Gardens to meet some the children taking part.
He said: “Antrim Castle Gardens is not only a pleasure to visit, it is also the perfect venue to learn about biodiversity.

Hide Ad“It was great to see local families enjoying and learning about our local habitats and species, including woodlands, rivers, hedgehogs, mini beasts and bats.”
Shea Graffin, aged five, said: “I really enjoyed making bird food cake. When I hung the food in my garden I saw the birds eating it for their tea.”
The school programme was delivered by the RSPB field teaching team.
