Chloe Cole, daughter of Yvonne and Gary Cole, and Chloe Robb, daughter of Wanda Weir, both from Abbeydale, will embark on their trip to the African continent, where they will be based at Dodoma, in East Tanzania.

While they are in Tanzania the ‘two Chloes’ as they are affectionately known, will be working hard painting the newly built church at Kitelara. As part of their work they will also be distributing food, teaching in the Bible Club at Kitelara and helping out with renovations at the new church.

The GB Captain at Ballyarnett, Linda Gardiner, paid tribute to everyone who had helped prepare the way for the two Chloes to travel to Tanzania: “On behalf of the two girls I would like to thank everyone who has helped us on our quest to send two of our Brigaders out to Tanzania with the Kids4school programme.

“We are grateful to those who donated clothes, sweets, toys and biscuits, as well as to those who contributed financially. Everything was loaded into a container, which is already on its way to Tanzania. I also want to thank Mabel Dinsmore, our past captain, for all her fundraising and for agreeing to chaperone our girls. It would be remiss not to thank the congregations of Ballyarnett and Knowhead for their support spiritually and financially, as well as all the businesses who donated balloons, gift cards and t-shirts.

Linda said Ballyarnett GB will continue to support Kids4school and appealed for donations, of school uniforms, furniture, stationery and IT equipment and printers.
