Kilbride treasure hunt a great success

ON Friday, July 30, Kilbride Presbyterian Church held its Annual Treasure Hunt.

The hunt was very well attended - with 34 cars leaving the church car park at 6.45pm to take part in the hunt set by William Duddy.

The route was three miles around the local area, and the papers contained 22 clues for experienced hunters, 16 of which to be answered by novice hunters.

Competitors returned to the hall around 9.15pm to hand in papers for marking and to enjoy a delicious buffet supper.

A Fun Quiz set by George Acheson also kept everyone busy while waiting for the results.

Rosemary Holland thanked everyone for their help and support with the evening, and asked William Duddy to reveal the results.

The winner was Sean Haveron and his team, who had an all-correct paper, and Sean was awarded the William Hoy Memorial Trophy by Mrs Eileen Hoy.
