Kilraughts Young Farmers' girls set to enjoy three month International Exchange

The YFCU offers more than 13 exchanges, both national and international, to various sister organisations across the world.

During these exchanges members will be travelling across the country, moving in with different families and becoming a member of the family.

They will be completing various volunteer work within the rural youth organisation and also telling other clubs what it is like to be a young farmer in Northern Ireland.

Emma Millar left for Tasmania, Australia on May 3rd for three months.

While on her tour she will be helping organise an agricultural festival and organise competitions throughout the show.

She will be working within the Rural Youth programme in Tasmania.

Emma would like to thank sponsors BCM security, Kilraughts YFC, Ballymoney Rugby Club and Memento for their generous donations to her exchange.

She would also like to thank everyone who donated towards her trip on her fundraising evening in the Scenic Inn, which was a great success. Also a massive thanks goes to her friends, family and especially her parents for their donations.

Hannah Kirkpatrick will be travelling to Canada on May 21st for a period of three months.

While on her exchange she will be travelling across the whole of Canada and working with the rural youth programme.

During her time there she will complete various projects and help within different aspects of the programme.

Hannah would like to thank everyone who attended her fundraiser coffee morning on Saturday 23rd April, as well as a massive thank you to her friends and family for helping with the event and finally the Ulster Farmers’ Union for their sponsorship towards her trip.
