Kilrea kids launch ‘Funsie in a Onesie’

Children from Crossroads Primary School in Kilrea want you to join them for a fun charity day to raise funds for the Cancer Fund for Children’s Daisy Lodge short break facility in Newcastle.

It’s a bit of a chore getting ready for school in the morning but in October kids can roll out of bed and into the classroom in their onesies or PJs all while raising money for local children living with cancer.

Downtown Radio and Cool FM’s Cash for Kids and Cancer Fund for Children have joined forces in the hope that schools and businesses will come on-board and raise money for Cancer Fund for Children’s brand new Daisy Lodge short break centre by getting sponsored to wear their cosy PJs or onesie for

the day. The facility, based at the foot of the Mourne Mountains, provides free therapeutic short breaks to local children with cancer and their families.

As an added Funsie in a Onesie incentive, some of the schools taking part could be visited by ‘Courage the Cash for Kids Kitty’ on Wonderful Onesie Wednesday, which will be held on October 22.
