Kite Festival to return to Downhill later in August!

The popular Kite Festival will return to Downhill Back for a fun filled day out for all the family on Sunday, August 14 from 12noon to 5pm.

A kaleidoscope of kites of all shapes and sizes will adorn the skies over this stunning coastal estate.

The event will also see kite performers, kite making, education activities and special display by Garvagh based, Wild Geese parachute display team.

To add to the festive atmosphere there will be a kids craft area, inflatables, Quad-Pod rides, segways, craft and food stalls and much more.

The festival isn’t just about watching the professionals - you can bring your own kite, make one on the day or buy one from our own shop and show off your kite flying skills and get tips from the professionals.

This promises to be a spectacular event full of colour and fun - so bring the family along and let’s go fly a kite.

To add to the festive atmosphere there will also be specialty food stalls, local crafts, hot and cold refreshments, Inflatable castles and a quad train in the kids’ area.
