La Faro headlining Visual Noise 2010

CARRICK Town Hall will once again play host to the free live music event, Visual Noise, which is now entering its fourth year.

Taking place on Thursday, October 28 from 7pm, Visual Noise features performances from four top-class bands and is open to people of all ages.

A spokesman for the event said: “We were officially sold out on our last gig in June, so we are hoping to have a big crowd again this time. Last year’s main event got nine out of ten on a Northern Ireland gig review website, so we must be doing something right. Over the years we have gone from strength to strength, bringing in bigger bands ever year and this year is no exception.

“This year we are very happy bring to Carrick the Winners of Channel 4‘s JD Set Unsigned competition, selected by Radio One’s Rob Da Bank – Phoenix Fire, freshly back from their London shows

“Second on the bill are More Than Conquerors, who are just about to go tour the UK, but we managed to get them before they set sail. Our third band is a surprise, so we won’t be revealing their name for another couple of weeks. But we can tell you they have a Radio One session already under their belt and spot plays on both Rory McConnell and Huw Stephens shows on Radio One.

“Our headline band this year were seen on TV this summer, as they played the Reading/Leeds Festivals. They are just about to head off on a two month European tour and have kindly agreed to play Carrick for the first time - we are very excited to welcome La Faro to our stage.”
