“This is the 11th year of the children’s event and I would encourage all children from the Borough to come along and take part. Every child will receive a medal for competing.

“Parents must remember that consent forms are compulsory and must be signed on the night or prior. No form, no run, with no exceptions at all.”

Race Organiser, Kenny Bacon of Springwell Running Club added: “Preparation for the main races is going really smoothly this year and I am delighted to continue our excellent partnership Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s, Ballymoney Sports Development Unit. Their input is invaluable to ensure the event is a success. Hopefully we will top the 200 mark in entries this year and who knows maybe see the course record fall in one of the events. A special prize is on offer for anyone beating any of the current course records.”
