Ladies hear about life as a missionary

KILLULTAGH: The WI welcomed back President Mildred Devlin who welcomed guest speaker Rev. Canon William Murphy.

Rev. Murphy gave a wonderful sincere account of his life, firstly as Missionary for the deaf and secondly as Chaplain to the Maze Prison for 19 years.

During the latter he met some very interesting characters and he regaled members with many amusing incidents.

A delicious supper was served by Ivy Smith, Adeline Morrow and Helen Brown. The birthday girl was Margaret Reid and the ballot winners were Mildred Devlin and Margaret Mc Callum.

The competition winners were Sylvia Close, Sheila Maguire and Maeve Campbell.
