Ladies...bin your bra and support breast cancer

October is breast cancer awareness month

To help raise awareness about the cancer and to promote early detection, ITV personality Lorraine Kelly has set up a unique campaign.

Lorraine’s campaign ‘Bin Your Bra’ will raise money for research into breast cancer and will also help small businesses in Africa.

The charity ‘Against Breast Cancer’ is the story of the personal crusade of founders Dr Anthony Leathem and his wife Patricia in their search for a future free of breast cancer.

Asda in Coleraine will be hosting a collection point this Friday, October 18 from 10am to 4pm for local women to bin their bras.

The ‘Bin Your Bra’ campaign not only keep textiles out of landfill, it helps small businesses in Africa and raises vital funds for ground breaking research.

The final amount raised is based on the weight of bras collected so more bras mean more funds and every £1 raised moves the charity closer to their ultimate goal, a future free from breast cancer.

So come on ladies, make the pink promise and get rid of all your unwanted bras!
