Lambeg panto raises over £2,500 for good causes

LOCAL dramatic society Lambeg Players’ recent return to Lisburn’s Lagan Valley Island Theatre with ‘Panto at the OK Corral’ was a great success.

The show raised in excess of £2,500 for a number of good causes including Oasis Village Orphanage in Zambia, Outreach Amazon in Brazil, Asha (supporting street kids in the slums of Delhi) and the Mark Pollock Trust.

Indeed, the members of Lambeg Players were delighted to learn that one of the buildings in the Oasis Village Orphanage in Zambia is being named after the Lambeg Players in recognition of the many thousands of pounds which has been raised through their pantomimes and plays over the years.
