Lammas Fair Street Entertainer’s Prizewinners

The Chairman for Moyle District Council, Councillor Padraig McShane, announced the prizewinners for this year’s Lammas Fair Street Entertainers’ Competition in a ceremony held in the Mayor’s Parlour at Moyle District Council on the first day of The Fair.

The competition was judged by Councillors McShane, McIlroy and M.A. McKIllop There were prizes in both junior and senior categories.

Speaking about the competition, Councillor McShane, Chairman for Moyle District Council, said: “ The standard was very high and it was great to see so many local and visiting musicians, singers and street entertainers taking part, helping to add to the lively atmosphere of the Lammas Fair.”

Junior Prizes - Joint 1st Prize: Eve and Dervla Gardiner, Tradtitional Music and Singing; Dulaman, Irish Traditional Group 2nd Prize: Sacha McMullan, Violin and Dancing 3rd Prize: Clodagh Hill and Caron Butler, Traditional Music

Senior Prizes 1st Prize: Niall McIlroy, Damian Mc Ilroy, Ita Mc Gowan, Claire Diamond, Colm Mc Neill, Irish Traditional Music 2nd Prize: Nigel McCullagh, Escape Act 3rd Prize: Golden Boots, Line Dancing.
