Landlords urged to check vacant properties
POLICE in Magherafelt are urging landlords, letting agents and property developers to regularly check their vacant properties.
This follows a number of burglaries at unoccupied houses in the Magherafelt area recently when a number of power tools and copper pipes were stolen.
Police are urging anyone with a vacant property to make them secure as possible and to check them on a regular basis. It is also important to make local police aware of the addresses of vacant properties. Police would encourage owners or landlords to contact their local Neighbourhood officer to make them aware of the addresses of vacant properties.
