Larne High School pupils excel in A Level exams

A Level and AS Level pupils at Larne High School have proven to be the cream of the crop after scroing the best results in the school's history.

A total of 60 per cent of pupils achieved at least three A-C grades at A Level, a significant improvement on last years 48 per cent.

The top achiever in this year’s cohort was Hannah Jordan, who clinched two As in sport and art, as well as a C in health and social care. Following hot on her heels was Zara Lynch, who picked up two As in business and sport and a C in health and social care.

Meanwhile, the top achieving boy was Aaron Hamilton with a A in business and two Bs in art and ICT.

Lynne Milligan, curriculum co-ordinator at the school said: “The students have done very well and we are delighted with this results set of results.

“All those who wanted to go university have got their places secured, and all our pupils are going on to either apprenticeships or higher education. We are pleased and would like to offer our congratulations to our students and wish them the very best for the future.”
