Larne Rotary Club wins Best Youth Project Award

The Rotary Club of Larne has been given the Award for the Best Youth Project at the Ireland conference for Rotary. The event was held in Cork at the end of September.

The award was in recognition of a road safety event held at Larne Leisure Centre last year, when over 200 young people form three secondary schools witnessed a staged car accident involved the police, Fire Brigade, Ambulance Service, medics from Antrim Area Hospital and a local undertaker.

The project was designed to highlight the importance of driving carefully.
