It's a blow not only for staff but for the local sports scene with Laser being a key sponsor of Lurgan Cricket Club. It’s been a bad year at Pollock Park with the rugby section having lost the sponsorship of Euro Construction when the Waringstown company also went into administration.

Laser, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, is headed by directors Liam Scullion and Maurice Peacock, having bought out the previous management in the late ‘90s.

KPMG were appointed joint administrators of Laser Electrical Limited on Thursday, April 1. The administrators met staff at each shop and at company HQ on Friday morning.

Employees were advised not to return to work until further notice with KPMG in the process of contacting all creditors of the company.
