Last bid to save 180 Restaurant from closure

A last-ditch meeting is being held this afternoon (Monday) to try and save the 180 Restaurant from closure.

The Mandeville Street Restaurant, which trains young people with learning difficulties, is set to close this Saturday if funding isn’t found to keep it open.

It employs seven full-time and part-time staff, five of whom who are qualified assessors, and trains 17 young people in Level 1 Introduction to the Hospitality Industry.

Despite a number of meetings and support from the public and politicians, no resolution has yet been found.
