Last parade of 2011

THIS Sunday will see the curtain drop on Lurgan District’s final parade of 2011.

This year the Annual Reformation Service is being held in High Street Methodist Church and, as has been the case in the last number of years, a large turnout is expected.

District Master David Martin said it will be a “service to remember”.

“2011 has been another great year for Lurgan Orangeism,” he said.

“We have had increased membership and bigger and better events

“As the year draws to a close, I would encourage the members of Lurgan District LOL No 6, to turn out in force, along with their families and friends to support this very special church service.

“Over the last five years we have put a huge effort into the final church service of the year, which has seen attendances increase.”

“We are a Christian organisation, bible based and in the year which celebrates the 400th anniversary of the King James Version of the Bible, I am confident that once again this service will be one to remember.”

The parade will be headed by the Upper Bann Fusiliers and the District Colour Party.

It will leave Brownlow House at 2.40pm, for a service at 3pm.
