Latest: 8 Fire crews in attendance at Pomeroy Road house fire

Eight appliances from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) are currently in attendance at a house fire on the Pomeroy Road.

“The call was received at 3:33pm this afternoon (Tuesday 6th January) to a fire in the roof space of the bungalow property. 8 Fire Appliances have been deployed to the incident.

“The Police Service of Northern Ireland is currently facilitating traffic disruption in the area.

Diversions are in operation and the road is currently closed between Gortavoy Bridge (Gortindarragh Road) and Kilmakardle Road, approximately half-way between Donaghmore and Pomeroy.

There are no further details at present.
