LATEST: Man shot in Coleraine

Detectives in Coleraine are appealing for information following a shooting incident in the Harpur’s Hill area shortly after 11.15 pm last night (Wednesday 17 April).

A man aged 32 years received injuries to his lower limbs and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police would ask anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact CID at Coleraine on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

DUP MLA Adrian McQuillan has condemned the incident and called on anyone with any information to contact police.

“The days of guns on our streets is long gone,” said the MLA.

“I would urge anyone with any information to come forward.”
