LATEST: Woman in critical condition following Coalisland house fire

A woman in her 50’s is currently being treated in hospital for serious burn and body injuries after she jumped from a bedroom window to escape a fire at her home in Moyallen Terrace, Coalisland in the early hours of Tuesday morning (16th September).

Another male, also believed to be in his 50’s also managed to escape the blaze and he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment for injured not believed to be life-threatening.

Two appliances from Dungannon station and one from Cookstown received the call shortly after midnight.

The occupants of the house had self-rescued before fire crews arrived and were taken to hospital for treatment.

Fire crews dealt with the fire at the property and the incident was dealt with by 1.35am.

Detective Inspector Reid is appealing for anyone with any information to contact Dungannon CID on 101 or alternatively via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111..

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
