Launch of 2012 crime prevention calendar

MOIRA Neighbourhood Policing Team and Safer Lisburn launched their 2012 Crime Prevention Calendar with the help and assistance of local Neighbourhood Watch Coordinators.

Speaking at the launch Constable Willie Johnston, Moira Neighbourhood Policing Team commented, “Over 1000 calendars are being circulated in the Moira area to home owners and businesses. It is important for people to be reminded of these crime prevention messages every month of the year in order to reduce the number of burglaries and thefts.”

Jacqueline Crockett, Safer Lisburn Communications Manager said, “This is the second year the calendar has been published and, using the crime prevention character, ‘Willie Nickit’ has proved to be an excellent way of keeping crime prevention messages prominent in peoples minds all year round.”
