The court heard he was stopped at 4.45pm while driving on the Drumnascamph Road, Laurencetown.

It transpired he did not have insurance or a vehicle test certificate.

A solicitor representing Potts said he could not give any explanation why he was driving without insurance and a test certificate.

He explained that his client had been banned until October this year and had not contacted Coleraine to get his licence back.
