LCDI make ‘marathon’ effort

Staff at a Limavady charity are getting laced up for the Belfast marathon next week.

The employees at Limavady Community Development Initiative are raising money for a local charity, as manager Damien Corr explained.

“LCDI staff aim to prove that they are ‘fit for purpose’ when they take to the streets of Belfast for the Marathon next Monday. The team have undertaken an intensive training regime over the dark evenings of the last few months and the management and staff at LCDI will be with them all the way (in spirit at least, “ said Mr. Corr.

“Each year LCDI staff choose a local charity to fundraise for, this year it is the ‘Good morning Roe Valley’ Project. Good Morning Roe valley provide a daily reassuring contact service for vulnerable older people right across the Borough.”

Mr. Corr says team members are accepting sponsorship and hope to raise as much money as possible.
