Learning about heritage
THE Maghera based Club óige Luruaigh recently organised an exchange trip to learn more about Colmcille’s heritage and the connections between Ireland and Scotland and its cultures.
The 25 young people from Scotland and Donegal enjoyed a wide range of fun activities including traditional singing and céilí dancing workshops, walks and team games.
The highlight of the week was the Gaelic cultural night held in Walsh’s Hotel where the young people had the opportunity to showcase their talent on the stage.
