Legahory Post Office set to get new modern look

The Post Office at Legahory is to get a new modern look over the coming months as part of the Post Office’s plans to modernise its services.

It is to be refurbished to create a modern environment for customers as well as providing increased opening hours.

As part of Post Office plans to modernise the network and extend the opening hours for customers, Legahory Post Office will continue to have three serving positions.

However following the changes opening hours will be increased by eight and a half hours a week with the branch remaining open on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons.

The new opening hours will be: Monday, 8.30am to 5.30pm; Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm; Saturday, 9am to 5pm.

To enable work to take place the branch will be closed from Wednesday, August 21, until Tuesday, August 27, inclusive.

Legahory’s new-look Post Office opens at the same location on Wednesday, 28 August, at 9am.

The Centre Post Office at Unit 29 Rushmere Shopping Centre

Derrymacash Post Office, at 9 Derrymacash Road, Lurgan.

Post Office Regional Network Manager, Suzanne Richardson, said: “We understand how important having a Post Office is to customers of Legahory and we are confident that this new modern office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.

“The modernisation is part of a major investment programme to convert the Post Office network to new-style branches and this investment, the largest in the history of the Post Office, makes a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.”
