Leisurecentres to close forpolling
Templemore Sports Complex.
One centre in Strabane will also be temporarily closed.
A spokesperson for Derry City and Strabane District Council confirmed: “Brooke Park Leisure Centre, Derry, and Riversdale Leisure Centre, Strabane, are both designated polling stations and therefore will be closed on May 7.”
“Templemore Sports Complex, Buncrana Road, Derry, is the Count Centre for the Foyle and East Londonderry constituencies and will be closed to the public from 8pm on Wednesday, May 6, until 06.30am on Friday, May 8.”
The council spokesperson said the authority apologises for any inconvenience caused to the normal users of these facilities.
